UEFA EUROPALEAGUE FINAL ISTANBUL
The 2026 UEFA Europa League Final in Istanbul was a special occasion for football fans from across Europe. I travelled to the city independently as a supporter of SC Freiburg, who had reached the knockout stage of the competition and inspired an unforgettable European campaign. With a small camera always at hand, I spent my time documenting the atmosphere surrounding the final. The crowds gathering in the streets, fans from England, Germany and Turkey coming together, and the unique energy that major football events can create. These images are a collection of personal impressions from a memorable week in Istanbul.
